School Manuals: Learn to Speak Oligui – Propaganda or Ego?
A strange image is circulating on Gabonese social networks, showing what appears to be a school textbook with a surprising sentence:
"Oligui cuts vegetables for the meal" .
At first glance, this might seem innocuous, but upon closer inspection, we find linguistic annotations aimed at coding the name Oligui in the reading exercises. What is more intriguing is the intention behind this association.
Is this image authentic?
One of the biggest mysteries is the authenticity of this image. Is it really from an official school textbook distributed in Gabonese schools, or is it a manipulation aimed at discrediting the current regime? The idea that Oligui Nguema subtly inserted his name into school exercises to influence young students raises concerns about the use of education as a propaganda tool.
A delay in adding his name to the manuals?
Another question raised: Could the observed delay in the delivery of school textbooks be due to modifications aimed at including Oligui Nguema's name in the content? If so, this would be a strong signal of a strategy aimed at introducing Oligui's figure into the collective imagination from a very young age, as a subtle but powerful propaganda technique.
🧐 Is this true?

Maoist propaganda or simple ego?
There are two possible interpretations here:
- Early Propaganda : Inspired by authoritarian regimes, where adoration for the leader is instilled from childhood, this method could be a way to extend Oligui Nguema's influence by anchoring his name in the minds of younger generations.
- Act of Ego : Conversely, this could be seen as an act of ego on the part of the transitional president, seeking to inscribe his name in history in a very personal way.
