Gabon: The True Story of the Coup

Nourished ambitions

Upon his return to Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was already considering a power grab, harboring ambitions dating back to 2009. Greed, lust and an unbridled taste for other people's money that he managed and embezzled, fueled in him the desire to be like his "creator". But since copying is not equaling, he strove to reproduce the habits, practices, speeches and methods of his model, without ever reaching his stature, which resulted in multiple language blunders and repeated slips of the tongue.

Deprived of many benefits during his exile, which was part of a family arrangement, his return to Gabon marked a turning point . He launched his machination with Machiavellian plans aimed at weakening and destroying the political and security administration of yesteryear. To do this, he remodeled the structures by placing his relatives in strategic positions in the sovereign administrations (economy, finance, mines, oil, social security, customs, etc.) and military (cavalry, paratroopers), ousting the administrators and security officials likely to thwart his rise.

It was in this dynamic that he orchestrated Operation Scorpion , locking up political figures whom he tortured and stripped of their property. These figures, close to the power in Libreville, enjoyed significant influence. Then, he attacked other dignitaries, presenting them to the people as thieves, ritualists adept at blood crimes, and making them responsible for Gabon's multifaceted delays since independence. To do this, he relied on activists whom he financed in the shadows and certain media and political parties in his pay.

The Coup d'état

After neutralizing the country's security sectors and placing his allies in key positions, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema sowed a cleverly orchestrated discord within the circles of power. He thus became the apparent guarantor of trust, stability and security for all clans and factions.

Taking advantage of the discord during the 2023 presidential campaign, he brought together the armed forces, including the BRC, RCAS, RPG and GR, which had provided Ali Bongo with security and coordinated intelligence. These military deployments were in reality rehearsals for the coup that was looming.

Elections: the betrayal of the masters

Distrustful of him, the then regent planned to remove him, irritated by his untimely changes in security arrangements. Oligui had infiltrated the strategic positions of the Republic by placing his loyalists (drivers, security agents, servants, brokers) to monitor and report the slightest actions of senior officials, hence the leaks of information on Ali Bongo's state of health.

Having joined the "Young Team" , Oligui was at the heart of the 2023 presidential strategy. With crucial intelligence, he was tasked with quelling any popular protest, while reaping colossal profits. He is said to have overseen massive fraud, including the registration of foreign nationals on the electoral lists, the duplication of minutes and stamps, and the securing of the CNE for his purposes.

After the Coup: The Purge

To hide his ambitions from the people he has united and who support him, the person concerned has launched a "fatwa" against his former masters, accusing them of having committed serious criminal offences as well as crimes of high treason against the State, thus manipulating the Gabonese collective conscience. In his momentum, he muzzles his former allies and strips them of their finances and assets, for his own benefit and that of his family.

To deceive the international community, he organized an inclusive national dialogue. However, as several participants in these truncated meetings pointed out, this dialogue, orchestrated with millions of CFA francs, was only a facade. In reality, the person concerned and his henchmen themselves wrote the final report as well as a new constitution tailored to his needs, incapable of guaranteeing a bright political future for Gabon and its citizens.

Wanting to establish his project and become a legitimate leader in the eyes of the international community, he summoned former barons of the PDG, such as Bilie Bi Nzé Alain Claude, Paul Biyoghé Mba, Angélique Ngoma, Luc Oyoubi, and many others. He told them of his intention to build his policy with the support of the PDG, a party to which he belongs and remains attached. It was he himself who formed the current party board, granting 200 million FCFA for the organization of the congress that installed the new leadership team. He also instructed this board to exclude the former president of the party, Ali Bongo, as well as his mother, and to go to the bedside of the ex-president to notify him of the changes. Ali Bongo received them but sharply rebuked them, reminding them that he remains the legitimate president of the PDG.

Fallout with Bilie Bi Nzé Alain Claude

With an oversized ego and observing the irrational inclinations of the person concerned, while taking into account the resilience of Ali Bongo, Bilie Bi Nzé withdrew after seeing several of his proposals rejected by the PDG board under the influence of the person concerned. BBN (Bilie Bi Nzé) then resigned and was summoned to the Presidency, where he was violently threatened with imprisonment or assassination.

True to himself, like a true Fang warrior, Bilie Bi Nzé Alain Claude has chosen to take on the role of martyr for a true liberation of Gabon. He counts on many former barons, lurking in the shadows, who are ready to support him in the face of the humiliations and Machiavellian plans that the person concerned is implementing, dividing the Gabonese people more and more day after day.

"A small mind cannot accomplish great things. A thief can only be motivated by his greed; therefore, the people can expect nothing from him and his court."

Utopia… utopia… utopia.
